Over the past couple of weeks, our team of dedicated loan officers has been working tirelessly to help businesses apply for and obtain financial assistance. Our main objective is to answer your questions and provide the best member service while helping you and your business navigate these challenging times. cPort Loans Operation Manager Evan D. Lovely says the demand is unprecedented. “Not only is the need from the small business community at an all-time high, but information changes day-to-day, requiring the team to keep informed of communication coming from the SBA hourly while diligently processing applications.”
Last week we learned that the SBA Paycheck Protection Program had run out of funding, putting loan processing on hold. However, we are expecting additional funds to be allocated to this program in the coming weeks.
cPort’s VP of Business Services, Bill Whitmore, is helping to lead a group of dedicated loan officers on the SBA Paycheck Protection Program Team. Bill’s message to businesses who are interested in applying but haven’t yet done so? Don’t hesitate. “Even though the first round of funding has run out, we are still accepting applications in anticipation of additional funding for this program. Our team continues to process applications and are prepared for more funds to become available”.
