At cPort, community is one of our core values and we strive every day to contribute meaningfully to the areas in which we live and work. Spring is a busy time of year for us! We sponsor many wonderful events, through relationships with local organizations. This Spring we are contributing towards the following events, happening right here in Maine!
Equality Maine Gala- cPort’s very own board member, Barb Wood, is a co-founder of Equality Maine. cPort was a bronze sponsor for their 35th Annual Gala on April 6th. Equality Maine’s mission is to secure full equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people in Maine through political action, community organizing, education, and collaboration. cPort is proud to partner with such an empowering and important community organization.
Bow Ties and Bean Boots– cPort employee Benjamin Guerette is on the board of Teens to Trails, an organization committed to engaging teens in the outdoors by building and supporting high school Outing clubs. Their Bow Ties and Bean Boots event, happening on May 3rd, is a night of local food and beverages, lively music, stories from teens, and s live and silent auction!
Prosperity Maine Block Party– cPort is a long-time supporter of Prosperity Maine, previously named Community Financial Literacy. cPort is sponsoring Prosperity Maine’s Annual Community Block Party on May 7th. Their mission is to enhance the lives of refugee and immigrant communities in Maine, a mission we fully support and believe in.
World Refugee Day– cPort will be volunteering for World Refugee Day on on June 21, with the Catholic Charities Maine. Their mission is to empower and strengthen individuals and families of all faith. World Refugee Day will include food, family activities, art performances, and more.
