The IRS started rolling out stimulus funds this week. So, your payment from the government is on the way. For some members, the money will be automatically deposited into your cPort Account. The IRS will use the account information you provided on your 2018 or 2019 tax return to deposit your funds.
The IRS launched a tracking tool called Get My Payment. You can use this tool to check on the status of your stimulus money. Members can also use the tool to provide bank account information to the IRS.
Stimulus Checks – Important Details
- Your payment amount is based on your 2018 or 2019 taxes. If you didn’t file during these years, update the IRS with your information here.
- Visit the IRS website to calculate your payment.
- The payment will resemble a tax refund when it posts to your account.
- If you’ve moved since the last time you’ve received a payment check, you’ll need to visit the IRS website to update the IRS with your new address information.
