Payment Operations Specialist

cPort Credit Union is currently seeking a detail-oriented, Payment Operations Specialist. This position requires the ability to multitask, prioritize duties, research, problem-solve any payment or fraud issues that may arise, and respond to requests in a timely, helpful manner.

The primary focus of the Payment Operations Specialist will be to support the Payment Operations team. Working within the Payment Operations team involves extensive communication, including verbal and electronic interaction, and real time collaboration with staff and credit union members to provide the best financial experience. This position will take part in completing the department’s daily operational tasks and ensure that all the operations are completed in a timely fashion and accurately following the credit union’s procedures and regulations. The ideal candidate has a desire to learn and grow within department with goal for future advancement.

Job Duties

  • Reviewing and processing wire transfer requests
  • Check adjustment filing and return handling
  • ACH processing and return handling
  • Investigate fraudulent debit card, check and ACH activity
  • Troubleshoot debit card denials and other issues
  • File chargebacks for debit card fraud and dispute claims
  • Respond to inquiries from staff and members in a timely manner
  • Ability to deliver quality work during times of increased volumes

Requirements

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Experience with Symitar, FedLine or other financial systems preferred

Experience with fraud analysis, investigation and prevention preferred

College degree or completed college coursework preferred
