Core Systems Coordinator

cPort Credit Union is currently accepting applications for a detail-oriented, full-time Core Systems Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have prior banking experience and will demonstrate strong communication and organization skills. This role will be responsible for overseeing the core banking platform and ensuring efficient operation, current technologies, and ongoing support. This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer.

Essential Duties

  • Collaborates with Vendors and other cPort team members to ensure successful updates, to complete project implementations, and to timely resolve system problems.
  • Coordinates with IT team to ensure successful integration of Symitar system with other applicable cPort systems and applications.
  • Provides user support and training to ensure proper utilization of the core banking system, including conducting user training sessions, creating user documentation, and addressing user inquiries or concerns.
  • Stays current on industry trends, best practices, and new features within the system, and proactively identifies opportunities to optimize system performance, streamline processes, and enhance user experience.
  • Works closely with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, assess system impacts, propose system enhancements, and document functional specifications for system modifications or new features.
  • Participates in core platform-related projects, including system upgrades, conversions, or implementations, by coordinating with cross-functional teams, monitoring project progress, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.

Location

This position will be located in Portland with the potential to periodically be remote.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated research, analytical, and problem solving skills

Requirements

  • College degree or completed college coursework preferred
  • Experience in Symitar, PowerOn, OpCon or similar systems preferred.
  • Financial institution experience preferred.
