Payment Operations Supervisor

cPort Credit Union is seeking a detail-oriented Payment Operations Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to delegate and prioritize tasks, and a proactive approach to resolving payment and fraud issues. The ideal candidate will have proven supervisory experience in payment operations and a deep understanding of credit union regulations, including Regulation E.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and develop the Payment Operations team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with credit union procedures and regulations, including Regulation E.
  • Review and approve wire transfer requests, check adjustments, and ACH transactions.
  • Investigate and resolve fraudulent debit card, check, and ACH activities.
  • Troubleshoot debit card denials and other related issues.
  • File chargebacks for debit card fraud and dispute claims.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated inquiries from staff and credit union members.
  • Deliver high-quality work during periods of increased volume.

Location

This position will be located in Portland, ME with the potential for hybrid work.


Qualifications

  • Demonstrated supervisory or management experience in payment operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Experience with financial systems such as Symitar and FedLine is preferred.
  • Strong background in fraud analysis, investigation, and prevention.
  • Prior experience in a payment operations role is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of credit union regulations.
