This year marked the second annual CU Give Back GAP Challenge, hosted by CU Insurance Solutions. We are thrilled to announce that cPort Credit Union not only won the “fast start” portion but ultimately secured first place overall in this challenge! 

Community Impact 

Winning the CU Give Back GAP Challenge is a meaningful accomplishment for cPort. As a result of our first-place finish, CU Insurance Solutions generously donated $8,500 to a local organization of our choosing. After thoughtful consideration, cPort selected Good Shepherd Food Bank as the recipient of this donation. 

We believe that Good Shepherd Food Bank plays a vital role in our community by fighting hunger and ensuring that families in need have access to nutritious food. Their commitment to serving our neighbors aligns with cPort’s values, and we are truly grateful for all the work they do. This donation will help further their mission and make a tangible difference in the lives of many. 

What Is GAP Insurance? 

GAP insurance, or Guaranteed Asset Protection insurance, is a type of coverage that helps protect car owners from financial loss if their vehicle is totaled, and they owe more on their auto loan than the car’s current market value. In such cases, standard auto insurance may only cover the current value of the vehicle, potentially leaving the owner responsible for the remaining balance on their loan.
