Meet Our New Lewiston Branch Manager
We are thrilled to announce the promotion of Chris Mbalazamo to the position of Branch Manager at cPort’s Lewiston branch, coming this fall. This milestone in Chris’s career is a testament to his dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to serving our members and the community.
Chris’s journey with cPort began in June of 2020, when he joined us as a teller at the Riverside branch. His drive and professionalism quickly earned him a promotion to our Relationship Coordinator role, then Branch Supervisor, next to Assistant Branch Manager at our Portland location on Forest Ave, and finally to Branch Manager of our upcoming Lewiston branch.
“I am thrilled to step into my new role as a Branch Manager, the position I have strived for since starting here in 2020. This milestone is the outcome of years of effort and dedication. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity to lead and serve in a more significant capacity. As always, I look forward to continuing to positively impact not only members but the team here at cPort” Chris said.
After receiving an Associate degree in Business Administration from Southern Maine Community College, Chris transferred to the University of Southern Maine to pursue a bachelor’s degree in accounting. His educational background has provided him with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in his roles at cPort.
His enthusiasm for helping the Lewiston–Auburn community is evident in his words: “I am excited to start working with the Lewiston–Auburn community, this has been a long time coming – members really wanted us to be there.”
From the moment Chris joined cPort, he has shown a remarkable commitment to serving our members’ needs. Chris consistently demonstrates excellence and commitment, ensuring that members receive the best service and support to reach their financial goals.
Recently, Chris and the team were at the Lewiston branch discussing the layout and preparing for the exciting journey ahead. With the recent hiring of the first few Lewiston branch employee’s, the team is already preparing for the opening of the branch this fall!
