cPort Credit Union is proud to have made a $5,000 contribution to Catholic Charities Maine for their 2025 Community Partners Program. This donation will be used to support their 20+ programs and services helping more than 50,000 Mainers in need each year.

cPort Credit Union seeks opportunities to establish partnerships beyond banking. The relationship between cPort and Catholic Charities is not merely about a shared logo on a banner; it signifies a commitment to supporting Mainers in need, improving financial literacy, and providing stability in challenging times. cPort also collaborates with Catholic Charities to offer banking services to people within the community who have recently relocated to the United States and now live in Maine. Through this partnership, cPort supports financial wellness and community development for all.

Since 1966, Catholic Charities Maine has supported vulnerable populations across the state. Guided by their Core Values; Respect, Integrity, Compassion, Hospitality, Excellence and Stewardship, the organization provides help, hope, and justice to all Mainers. From its beginnings caring for orphans to being a comprehensive social service provider, the Agency has adapted to address diverse community needs.

Over the years, Catholic Charities Maine has expanded services, to include food banks, childcare, and support for independent living for the elderly and people with a disability. They continue to engage with the community through various programs. These services encompass numerous areas, including behavioral health, child development services, senior services, and community outreach. Additionally, they operate a thrift store named Threads of Hope, with four different locations across Maine. With all these services, Catholic Charities Maine is driven to work towards their mission of providing innovative community-based social services throughout Maine.

With over 55 years of service, Catholic Charities Maine remains a pillar of compassion with nearly 500 staff members, 500+ volunteers, and strong community backing.

Since 1931, cPort Credit Union has been committed to providing members with the best financial experience possible. With five convenient branches located in Portland, Scarborough, and Augusta, and soon a sixth branch opening in Lewiston, cPort serves over 35,000 members and continues to be one of the fastest-growing credit unions in Maine. Recently recognized as a Best-In-State Credit Union by Forbes and listed among the Best Places to Work in Maine for eight years, cPort strives to deliver the highest level of personal service and innovative banking products.
