cPort Credit Union is proud to announce our donation of $25,000 towards the new McGoldrick Center for Career & Student Success on the University of Southern Maine (USM) Portland Campus. The McGoldrick Center will serve as a hub for providing students with the resources and opportunities to develop leadership skills and forge relationships with employers to lead to significant career opportunities. As an organization committed to supporting the growth and development of our community, cPort is thrilled to be a founding sponsor of this exciting initiative.
How cPort Credit Union is Investing in the Community
Investing in the communities where our members live and work is a core value at cPort Credit Union. Roughly 10% of our local credit union’s employees are alumni, with some employees currently enrolled. That is why we have chosen to support USM’s Great University Campaign by contributing towards the McGoldrick Center. The state-of-the-art facility will foster collaboration and connection among students, faculty, alumni, and employers. cPort Credit Union’s gift will sponsor the Student Government Business Office, located on the third floor of the new McGoldrick Center.
“At cPort Credit Union, we understand the power of education and the importance of empowering students to reach their full potential,” says Gene Ardito, cPort Credit Union’s President and CEO. “That’s why we are proud to sponsor the Student Government Business Office as part of USM’s McGoldrick Center. This exciting initiative will serve as a beacon in the Portland community and a springboard for tomorrow’s future leaders.”
